Kavaratti Beach:The headquarter of the Administration, Kavaratti is beautiful calm lagoon and forms an ideal spot for water sports, swimming and basking on warm sandy beaches.The beach is known to be suitable for sunbathing and enjoying out the water sports activities. The marine aquarium and the Dolphin diva center are popular travel attractions. There is the facility of enjoying the sea ride in a glass bottomed boats.

Kalpeni Beach:Known for its scenic beauty with the small islets called Tilakkam & Pitti and an uninhabited island on the north called Cheriyam.Located in the southern most island, the crescent shaped beach has one of the largest lagoons. The Maldivian cultured lava dance and the water races between the local boats termed as the Jahadhoni are interesting for the visitors and are the prominent travel attraction of this part of India.It is believed that huge boulder were thrown up during a storm in 1847. One can swim, reef walk or water sports on kayaks, sail boats, pedal boats. Water sports crafts are available on hire. 

Kadmat Beach:Kadamat is 8 Kms long and 550 m wide at the broadest point. In addition to the beautiful shallow lagoon on the west that forms an ideal spot for water sports, there is a narrow lagoon on the east.he southern part of it consists of stretches of sand perfect for the sunbathers. The beach hut built there provides relief from the heat of the sun. The transparent waters of the beach protects many tropical fishes and sharks. Minicoy Beach:It is the southernmost island in Lakshwadeep, crescent shaped & has one of the largest lagoons. The island is also very interesting because of its unique Maldivian character.

Bangaram Beach:An uninhabited island, Bangaram is the only one open to foreign tourists. The teardrop-shaped island has superb beaches and beautiful lagoons. The wealth of coral formation (including black coral) attracts a variety of tropical fish-angel, clown, butterfly, surgeon, sweetlip, snappers and groupers. There are also manta and sting rays, harmless sharks and green and hawkbill turtles. Windsurfing, scuba diving, parasailing, water skiing and snorkeling. Deep-sea fishing is possible on local boats with crew.

Agatti:The Airfield island has a beautiful beach and lagoon for its visitors. Tourist coming to travel Lakshaweep lands at this very place and are charmed by the beautiful landscape surrounding it. It is the virtual gateway to Lakshadweep.

Water Sports:Lakshadweep is the undisputed leader as far as water sports are concerned. The shimmering blue lagoons invite you to just jump in and swim your way out of fatigue and tiredness. Scuba diving and snorkeling are the two most indulged in water sports in Lakshadweep.

Scuba Diving:The adventure sport of scuba diving is prevalently practiced in the islands of Lakshadweep. The beach resorts in the islands of Kadmat and Bangaram have provisions required to participate in the sport. The rich aquatic life of the Arabian Sea is best enjoyed by engaging in the sport of scuba diving in Lakshadweep.

Snorkeling:Snorkeling is a far easier but equally enchanting sport as scuba diving. Snorkeling is perfect for children and aged people who are not very comfortable in deep waters.  How to Reach:
By Air:The Union Territory has an airport in Agatti, which is regularly connected by flights from Kochi (Cochin) the capital of Kerala. Kochi (Cochin) is an international airport and also linked almost all main cities in India.

By Sea:Traveling by ship is also a good option to reach Lakshadweep. A number of passenger ships operate from Kochi (Cochin)to Lakshadweep. The distance can be traveled in nearly 18 to 20 hours
